LOOKING FOR MEANING AND PURPOSE?

ARE  YOU READY FOR A LIFESTYLE CHANGE?

THEN LISTEN . . .

You may be experiencing a call from God for a radical shift to an extraordinary way of life.

The Sisters of Saint Benedict of Grand Terrace  are women who desire to live the Gospel; who have a capacity to be generous and compassionate; who have a healthy sense of their own identity.  They help one another clarify, strengthen and integrate their understanding of God's call to the monastic way of life.

The Sisters believe that their lifestyle of mutual respect, discipline, regularity in schedule, authenticity, balance between solitude and togetherness, and perseverance in the life of faith are valuable virtues for a better world of tomorrow.

WE WELCOME WOMEN OF HOSPITALITY WHO SEEK GOD IN COMMUNITY

CHARISM AND MISSION STATEMENT

The Benedictine Sisters of Holy Spirit Monastery, Grand Terrace, California are called to seek God in community life by responding to one another and to the people of God in mutual trust, hospitality, reverence, prayer and ministry.

In fidelity to this call, we:

  • proclaim the Gospel by embracing a monastic way of life in the spirit of St. Benedict, the Constitution of St. Gertrude the Great and our Monastic Norms.

  • engage in works that will enhance the quality of life of those with whom we live and minister through public and private prayer, education, parish, diocesan and special ministries, retreats and spiritual guidance.
  • consciously choose hospitality as a means to recognize Christ in others.

We are sustained in our vocation by the grace of God, our common commitment, ministry, oblates and benefactors.
