HOLY SPIRIT MONASTERY

. . .for single adult Catholic women who want to further their spiritual growth by praying and sharing community life with the Benedictine Sisters in Grand Terrace, CA.

Holy Spirit Monastery, located in the beautiful California foothills in Grand Terrace, is a peaceful environment where people may pray, walk our 80 foot labyrinth, and participate in the daily life of the Community without the requirement of taking vows.

Many working women long for an atmosphere where they can foster their spiritual development while earning a living but may not wish to pursue a vowed life.

Mature, practicing Catholic women under age 65.

Women who have good physical, mental, and emotional health.

Those free of financial and family responsibilities.

Women who have the ability to get along with others.  Application Process

Involves a preliminary interview and completion of the application form.  A few days visit at the monastery.

Individuals make a time commitment that integrates their availability and other obligations. This commitment, renewable by mutual consent, is a covenant to participate in community life, to contribute time and talents, and to experience as fully as possible in the community life of the Sisters.

This SPIRIT live-in experience offers the opportunity for uniting a working life with a spiritual life.
